Unbelievable Scene of the Day

Home. There's just nothing like it. Easter break has finally arrived, thank God (see what I did there? God? Jesus? Easter? Catholic school? No, not funny? Okay), and there's just nothing better than laying on the couch watching stupid movies with your brother while he serves you ice cream. Been riding the wild college train pretty hard lately, so it's going to be nice sleeping in my own bed for a change and having a chance at a little R and R. For those of you still in school right now, or those not going home for break, sorry I'm not sorry? Home is glorious.

The Legend of Kanye

Kanye West Performs at Coachella 2011 (Part 1/2) from AreYouOTS.com on Vimeo.

Kanye West is by far my favorite rapper/solo artist. The man is simply a musical genius. Ever since the Taylor Swift incident, he has gotten a bad rap and the massive swift fan base waged war on him. This caused Kanye to go underground and he hasn't gone on tour or performed except for an unannounced show for the release of his new album(which was genius). Then this Coachella shindig comes along. This is like the West Coast mecca for concerts but I had never heard of it. Well Kanye performed for two hours and just absolutely KILLED IT. The man is back and he's finally performing again. I know that you probably wont watch his entire set, but if you have time or just flip through, you won't be disappointed. Love him or hate him, you cant deny that Kanye is a great musician and a showman. The guy comes out 50 feet over an ocean of screaming fans closing Cali's biggest concert. He said this was the most important show to him since his mom passed away. He dedicated it to her and you could see the passion and appreciation in his eyes and his performance. Kanye's got a chip on his shoulder and its truly a spectacle. I will not rest until Kanye is brought to BC to show you crazy kids how a real concert is done.

P.S. Best songs of the performance: Hey mama(the last song), Good Life(32:50 1st), All of the Lights(20:16 2nd), Touch the Sky(13:15 2nd), Dark Fantasy(opener 2:33 1st), Through the Wire(9:48 2nd), Lost In the World(39:00 2nd), Homecoming(8:38 2nd vid), JesusWalks (12:59 1st), Stronger(25:22), Runaway(31:35 2nd), Flashing Lights (29:00 1st)

P.P.S This was pretty much Kanye unleashing his best stuff all night long, but he should have left the 808 and Heartbreak songs at home and brought more of College Dropout and Graduation.

Fat Kid Gets Smoked

This is exactly what this fat kid gets. Sure, the other kid either lost a bet, or agreed to do this, but did you see how he was talking smack before he went to castrate his buddy? "I'm going to annihilate your balls dude." Give me a break, since when is crushing his testies not enough? You gotta humiliate him too? Showboating son of a bitch, get your weight up.

Unbelievable Scene of The Day

I like how we are winning this series, I mean the whole giving the knicks a shot thing and then just ripping their hearts out at the end. It's like we are the dude in SAW or something, just great entertainment. My suggestions for the knicks: tighten up Amare's back just as much as his "stomach," and learn how to guard rondo rather than worrying about how we guard their players. Ok? Ok night!

PS. How many times did KG call the ref a mother effer at the end of that game, before, during and after, the celtics got that time out call? I say 7.5.

BC Athlete of The Week

For this edition of BC Athlete of the Week we thought it only fitting to pick an athlete that inspired us this week. Mister David Dale, a Senior on the BC Men's Futbol team, ran the marathon this week, and did it in incredible fashion. Dave was straight up partying Sunday night, woke up Monday morning and practically said, "what the hell, I'll run the 26.2." See, Dalé is one of those seniors that us freshmen will always remember. He's a hardworking, hard partying, mad man. He's that guy that when your a senior, you'll be starting stories in the mods with your bros like, "remember when Dave Dale...." In short: He's what we can only hope to be some day to a group of freshmen. Dude's just the People's Champ. So Dave we salute you, not only for your prowess on the pitch or you're marathon running ability, but for the legend you leave behind.

Wake Up (from a nap maybe) Would You Rather

Its a wonderful time of the year. School is winding down, the weather gets better every day, baseball has just begun, and on top of that basketball and hockey playoffs have started. Would you rather see your hometown hockey team win the Stanley Cup or your hometown basketball team win the NBA championship?

This question may seem to be as simple as whether you like hockey or basketball more. I'm a bigger fan of basketball, but I'm not going to ask for the NBA championship. Being a diehard Boston sports fan since birth, my teams in question are the Celtics and the Bruins. I'm choosing the Bruins because they haven't won a championship since 'Nam. Literally, their last Stanley Cup was in '72 for fuck's sake. The Celtics won the NBA championship 3 years ago, so as long as the Heat or Lakers don't win, I'm happy with the NBA playoffs. I know the B's are down 2-1 in their series right now, but I'm a believer. They turned it around last night with a big win in enemy territory so theres still a chance that 2011 will be our year. Just keep Chara hydrated and we'll be fine. Seriously, how hard is it for a professional athlete to keep hydrated. All we need is water boy extraordinaire, Bobby Boucher Jr., on the B's and that Stanley Cup is ours.
