Let's start with some basics. Tiki Barber: 10 seasons, 10,449 yards, 4.7 YPC, 55 touchdowns, 53 fumbles, douchebag, asshole, worst locker room guy in the history of the NFL, NO SUPERBOWLS. I just want to clarify here, I'm a huge Giants fan and always have been. Tiki was one of my favorite players back in the day, and his production from 2002-2006 cannot be denied. But in the process of his dramatic retirement in 2006 and his stream of bullshit comments about head coach Tom Coughlin and soon-to-be superbowl MVP Eli Manning, I started to loathe the man. Before everyone gets all hyped up about this and how "it's so great for the league," let's look at what one of his former teammates is saying about this. Antonio Pierce, one of the Giants great defensive leaders of the 2000s, has done nothing but criticize Barber's return. In a recent showing of NFL Live, Pierce noted that Barber "didn't do anything but deteriorate the 2006 team" and that he will do "nothing but cause problems for the team that signs him." Not only has Tiki been out of the league for 4 years, he's also at the age of 35 in which one (no, I did not just stutter) one man in history has run for 1,000 yards. People who think Tiki's coming back anywhere near the same form he was in during the 2006 season are unbelievably misled. This guy has been sitting in studios for four years talking shit about older running backs still trying to make it in the NFL. And yet, he's a big enough douchebag to come out of retirement and say he thinks he can play at a high level. Just food for thought here, can you imagine a 100 yard race between CJ28 (Chris Johnson) and Tiki. I really think CJ28 would be jogging at the end, and still win by 10 yards. He’s a poor man’s Clinton Portis, and he’s an even bigger asshole. I can’t wait for the day the Unbelievable Scene of the day is him getting absolutely flattened by the Giants' Justin Tuck. Fuck you Tiki Barber.
