T.Ryan delivers

Not the best day so far. We get hit with SNOW on the first day of April, the Phillies come from behind to win because Brandon Lyonn is atrocious, and the front-running/fair-weather Yankees fans have the audacity to think they are MLB’s sweetheart 200 mil UNDERDOGS just because the Sox decided to beat them at their own game. On top of all that the Mets have to face the monster that is Josh Johnson today. Despite all that, its opening day and anything is possible/ I’m feeling good. Now the music you should be listening to today should end with “And the Home of the Brave”, but obviously you are going to need something else tonight to celebrate the Mets and Sox winning. T. Ryan is an artist I have wanted to feature for a while. His songs are just great to kick back to and relax. All of his songs are winners in my book. If he fails in the rap game, he definitely could become a powerhouse producer because all of his music is easy to listen to and his range is incredible. All of his lyrics are fresh and from the heart. He’s an up and coming rapper who definitely knows how to sample other great tracks. Regina Specktor and Semisonic definitely brought his raps to another level and made None of us could sleep, God can be funny, and Closing Time (remix) my favorites. Closing Time was great in the 90’s and its Ryan’s best. It’s definitely the mortal lock of the week. The same name was also an extremely powerful song, great lyrics, great message, and great beats. Throw some love T. Ryan’s way, he is definitely a diamond in the rough. Just like the Mets, if you give him a chance, something magical could happen. Sometimes that’s all life is, a roll of the dice. So crack a cold one, eat some Apple pie and support your favorite team because today is America’s day, where dreams are born and memories are made, Opening Day.

Closing Time God can be funny None of us could Sleep Don't Go Now The Same Name

P.S. am I crazy for liking these songs. They both have great hooks and make me dream of summer. Ever Since by Trey Palms and Written in the Stars by Tinie Tempah

PPS: With regard to the post about New Jersey don’t hate on us because we will rock you in every facet of the game. Yet I agree, a baby scorned is nothing to mess with. Ever seen a crying kid not get what he wants? Me neither, Jesse 2012.

April Fool's Joke by Comm Ave Community College

Look at the BU alum/state employee who still has his panties in a bunch because he got rejected by BC. What a prank, what a job! Community college really served him well.

PS. I know el prez over at bartstool already posted this, but I feel compelled to comment on it.

Could've Been Us

#4-seed Wichita State took home the NIT title last night beating #1-seed Alabama 66-57 in the final at MSG. It's funny, you know, because Wichita State's mascot is the "Shockers" and this result certainly came as quite the shock. No? Not funny? Just another time my sense of humor let's me down? Yeah. Anyways, what I really wanted to focus on here is why the hell we're not in this game. I want you to look me straight in my luscious orangey brown hazel eyes and tell me the Boston College Eagles couldn't beat the Wichita State Shockers. Please, try me. There's no reason in the world why Reggie and Co. shouldn't have at least been playing in Madison Square Garden last night vying for the title. If we're in the NIT final, does Reggie go pro? If we're in the NIT final, do people here start caring about basketball? If we're in the NIT final, were Mucc and I staying at the Madison Belvedere last night? So many questions left unanswered of what "could have been" from the 2010-2011 men's basketball season. Congrats Wichita State. This one's a shocker.

Is the Eagle's Nest better than Hillside?

VS.

So I just enjoyed a delicious pressed Crisco sandwich from the eagle's nest and it got me thinking, is the nest better than hillside? I mean I know hillside is obviously beautiful and one of the most coveted places on the BC campus but is it really that much better? I just can't be sure. I like the freshness of hillside and the breads, but the selection isn't as large as the nest, and it's impossible to find a table. Also at hillside there's like this 5 chip rule where you get snubbed on chips the whole time, unless your montel harris, he demands 25-30 chips. Here at the nest they give you oodles of free chips, and there's this one old lady who literally gives me a discount every time I use her register. I guess the nest get's a bad rap cause of location and freshmenness...but it's so intriguing. I'm torn, even though 99% of BC students love hillside...it's still an interesting debate...

Unbelievable Scene of the Day

"Rondo can't pass, Garnett is too old, Jermaine ain't never gunna play, Pierce and Allen are shit, they miss perk"...blah, blah, blah, blah. Last time I checked the Celts just kicked the shit out of the best team in the NBA. Wait my bad the second best team in the NBA, the best would be us. Call Gino.

Unbelievable Scenes.
