Charlie Davies Makes it Back

1 year and 5 months ago Charlie Davies was sitting in a Virginia hospital bed with a lacerated bladder, multiple facial and skull injuries, broken ribs, and a broken femur. Last night he scored two goals in his first real game back on the pitch for DC United. This is why sports are unreal. They give us moments like this one. Nowhere else, outside of hollywood, can you publicly see a man at his lowest moment, down and out, basically on his death bed, and then see him again so soon after, through hours of hard work and painful days, rise from the ashes and do something truly magical. Maybe 3 and I are still emotional from yesterday's tough loss, but watching this I can say there wasn't a dry eye between us. This man was dead to rights, but rallied. Makes you wonder why we all can't have this same resolve and accomplish great things. Dude's inspiring. So Charlie Davies we salute you.

Unbelievable Scene of the Day

Wow. Just wow. I'm speechless. If I were to say there were unbelievable scenes off the chains right now, I would be telling the absolute truth. Once again, Roccdaddy's game was flawless at the Cataracs (I don't know who they are? Apparently they're good??). Anyways, I hit it off so hard in 13a tonight. Love all those people. Shout out to the Maineiac Sarah. More importantly, however, since when is pissing in the corner of a basement not kosher? Started tonight I guess? Got kicked out. "Peace out, bitches," was the term used by the douchebag. Let's just say we will not be back in that house. Cam Stoker was also an absolute hero tonight. Never seen a Marco Koolman impression slash an illiterate clown like that man. Touche Cam, touche. Boosh is a mother(effing - you're welcome mom. P.S. heard you had a good time tonight...) g. I miss his sweet ass. So, tonight's unbelievable scene? All of the above. Plus, the seniors. I cried today. Basketball made me cry. Standing O for all the seniors. I wept like a little baby. Those boys laid it out for me today and all year for that matter and I'm proud to say I rocked a cowboy hat and a teddy bear to support them each and every time. Gonna miss you boys. Is This The Best Goal Ever?

Think Northeastern is sick of playing us? I know I'm sick of them, god damn they play us tough every time...they're like that little brother that grew 6 inches but you still kick the shit out of him when its absolutely necessary. Either way, sick goal by Steve Whitney last night. I basically know Steve real well, I mean my best friend is best friend's with his girlfriend or some shit like that? Ya best friends. Nice Goal Steven, let's kick Merrimack's ass tonight.

Finished

I'm sad. I know now of days people throw out sad, and depressed, and pissed all the time when they are a little tweaked, but right now I'm actually just sad. Today's game was rough, tough shooting, tough officiating, tough rebounding. Northwestern was just too physical and large, and white for us today. They're a solid club. I'm not going to harp on the little things about today's game, and how we should have done this or that, but rather I just want to say some things about those 8 seniors who played their last games in a Boston College uni today. We love you guys. 3 and I were fighting back tears when those boys where taken out, and had chills when the standing O for them all lasted nearly 10 minutes. They fucking deserve it. I know BC basketball isn't on peoples radar. We aren't nova, or UNC, or Kentucky. But it doesn't mean that guys like Trap, Biko, Raji, Cahill, Big smooth Southern, and the rest of the seniors didn't work their asses off for 4 years. And this year, this band of brothers bonded together and gave us some great moments, they, like that video above, persevered, proved people wrong and gave us something to care about, gave us their all. Steve must be so proud of this over achieving bunch of men who bought into the system and gave the program a solid year to build upon for the future. I'm sad because I saw the look in Biko's eyes when he walked off that court one last time. It's that same look we all had when we stepped off that high school or even college court or field for the last time. If you know anything about sports, anything about passion, anything about working with others for a common goal, you'll know what I mean. It's just sad. But we hang our heads high and we salute them boys who played their tails off and represented this school with pride. The fans owe them that. The fans must be better. But we will address all of that later. For now I speak for everyone at the scenes, and everyone ballsy enough to come out this morning: Corey, John, Joe, Biko, Courtney, Nick, Chris, and Big Smooth, Thanks men, Thank you for giving us your very best.

Apparently 3 can just blog whatever he wants when he wants now. Nope, he don't need any approval from me, roccodinho, or God I guess. You know what though? I like it. Anyway, the most exciting basketball you could possibly watch is on in an hour and a half. NIT, BC vs Northwestern. This one's for Raji. Dude's a beast, god I'm gunna miss him. At any rate, since my bracket's busted and the vending machine is out of water, you all (not y'all, fuck Texas) better hope we win or else I may not show up on Monday. Just kidding...but seriously though.

Unbelievable Scene of the Day

Just so many options. Do we choose Rockdaddyy getting it in? Do we choose Notre Dame sucking the big one? Do we choose the NIT doubleheader tomorrow? Do we choose HBunk getting in another fight on Kirkwood and releasing his soon-to-be number one single? It's hard to say. Today was unreal. Steph's coming to BC, there's lesbians in Rocco's room, I just don't know. Mucc wants it. I like that out of him. I play good ball. Let's go USA. We're getting painted up and dudded out for tomorrow morning. We will be ready. We WILL prevail. Coach told me personally he's going to take care of it. Dallas Elmore (not a huge fan of his lately) had a chicken sandwich in Lower today. You know what that means, that means a win. Fuck ND, fuck Northeastern/western, fuck Texas and cheerleaders. We have to win this game. Let's go Eagles. I bleed maroon and gold.
