I Love Boston
Please tell me everyone just watched that game? That right there, ladies and gentlemen, is what being from Boston is all about. It's about heart, it's about resiliency, it's about getting knocked on your ass and getting back up time and time again. That's what the Bruins did tonight. They just kept getting up. Down 1-0, 3-1 and 4-3 (on a bullshit penalty call by the way, fuck those mountie referees) the Bs just kept dug in and battled their way back to an overtime win and two HUGE wins on Canadian soil. Jack Edwards proclaimed it, "Get Up!" and the Bs did as they were told. I love Boston.
P.S. The Jack Edwards "Get Up" freak out was one of the greatest announcing moments of all time.
P.S.S. Does anyone else feel like Edwards has the ability to give the entire Boston area heart attacks in one night. Not sure Mass General could handle that one.
P.S.S.S. Watch the video. That's what she said...

Would You Rather
Here is a timeless would you rather debate. Would you rather have a cat or a dog for a pet?

I am obviously going to choose the dogs. I fucking hate cats. And here's why
1. I am allergic to cats. Anytime I'm near a cat for more than 10 minutes my face swells up and looks like this (minus the ginger hair and freckles)

2. Cats are dicks. They don't want to play with you like dogs do. Go near a cat and it will try to rip your face off.
3. Cats are like fake tits. Sure they look fun on the internet, but in real life they just aren't what they're all cracked up to be.
4. They shit in your house. At least dogs have the common courtesy to go the bathroom outside.
5. They are nimble, sneaky little fuckers. I know this may sound weird, but cats are the ninjas of the animal kingdom, silent and nimble assassins. And if I've said it once I've said it a thousand times; do not trust ninjas or anything with ninja-esque characteristics. They are just too sneaky for their own good.

BC Eagles Taking Their Talents To NC

So yesterday I was chatting it up with a good friend of the scenes Carly Weilminster of BC's Women's Lax team, and she was letting me know all about our girls down in North Carolina right now at the ACC Tourney. Now I know nothing about lacrosse, but it Turns out they are #11 in the country, and the 4 seed down in NC facing Va tech tonight at 5 in the quarterfinals; so basically they must be kindof a big deal. Also, 3 claims he's seen some of these girls in study hall and they seem way out of his league, so they must be cool. I know we already did a nice little story on fellow freshmen Moira Barry but turns out Senior Kristin Igoe, and Junior Brittany Wilton made the All-ACC team...not too shabby at all. Good luck tonight ladies, and kick Va Techs ass, no one likes those hicks anyway.

Is Purdue Kidding Me?
I'm just not impressed, not only because this machine makes the most annoying sounds known to man, but because they went from Ancient Egypt to the Middle Ages, and then straight on to World War II. I guess the Roman Empire, Colonization, and the American Revolution simply do not matter to these guys. Also, what's with the apocalypse ending? Who's idea was that? Just typical nerdy Purdue Boilermakers, bringing everyone down with their talk of nuclear war and destruction. These guys should watch Pee-Wee Herman's morning machine and take notes...he was always a model citizen.

Unbelievable Scene of the Day

Home. There's just nothing like it. Easter break has finally arrived, thank God (see what I did there? God? Jesus? Easter? Catholic school? No, not funny? Okay), and there's just nothing better than laying on the couch watching stupid movies with your brother while he serves you ice cream. Been riding the wild college train pretty hard lately, so it's going to be nice sleeping in my own bed for a change and having a chance at a little R and R. For those of you still in school right now, or those not going home for break, sorry I'm not sorry? Home is glorious.

The Legend of Kanye
Kanye West Performs at Coachella 2011 (Part 1/2) from AreYouOTS.com on Vimeo.
Kanye West is by far my favorite rapper/solo artist. The man is simply a musical genius. Ever since the Taylor Swift incident, he has gotten a bad rap and the massive swift fan base waged war on him. This caused Kanye to go underground and he hasn't gone on tour or performed except for an unannounced show for the release of his new album(which was genius). Then this Coachella shindig comes along. This is like the West Coast mecca for concerts but I had never heard of it. Well Kanye performed for two hours and just absolutely KILLED IT. The man is back and he's finally performing again. I know that you probably wont watch his entire set, but if you have time or just flip through, you won't be disappointed. Love him or hate him, you cant deny that Kanye is a great musician and a showman. The guy comes out 50 feet over an ocean of screaming fans closing Cali's biggest concert. He said this was the most important show to him since his mom passed away. He dedicated it to her and you could see the passion and appreciation in his eyes and his performance. Kanye's got a chip on his shoulder and its truly a spectacle. I will not rest until Kanye is brought to BC to show you crazy kids how a real concert is done.
P.S. Best songs of the performance: Hey mama(the last song), Good Life(32:50 1st), All of the Lights(20:16 2nd), Touch the Sky(13:15 2nd), Dark Fantasy(opener 2:33 1st), Through the Wire(9:48 2nd), Lost In the World(39:00 2nd), Homecoming(8:38 2nd vid), JesusWalks (12:59 1st), Stronger(25:22), Runaway(31:35 2nd), Flashing Lights (29:00 1st)
P.P.S This was pretty much Kanye unleashing his best stuff all night long, but he should have left the 808 and Heartbreak songs at home and brought more of College Dropout and Graduation.
