Put it in the Books

I am so fired up right now. Finals week has sprung upon us and this is the final uber grind before summer. The end is so close I can taste it. This week 4 tests stand in my way and its looming over my head like the fear of Jose Reyes (my pride and joy/alltime favorite) weighs down on my heart. They are absolute wildcards, but Im in the zone and like Jose Im gonna fight until I die to get what I want. Well, today at 8:45 I had my oral exam for perspectives and I absolutely crushed it. Laid it all out on the field and the teach tried throwing a fastball by me but he new as soon as he let it go that the game was dunzo. Dominating the opener of a long week is an amazing feeling and you know that you can handle 7 different kinds of smoke. I owe it all to the song pumped up kicks by foster the people. I don't know what it is about the song but it gets me in the zone and I will happily let you try it out. The song just builds and builds and has a trance like vibe with an extremely catchy chorus. Right now Im playin for the team I love and leaving nothin on the table playin for that final contract. Good Luck on the home stretch folks.

P.S. I haven't posted in a while so I'm gonna throw a bunch of good songs your way.
Obviously Tayyib Ali came out with Keystone State of Mind and its fire. Grab it HERE I wont stop, Supermodel, High Definition, and California Love are my favorites.

Great Mashup by Mocci Beats: Friends till the End

If u were raging at Modstock you noticed that some BC alums, Dean and Ravo, were makin it big in the game out there. Great Stuff. You can grab their album (Show them some love) HERE my favorite song is Finally

Lastly my boys Kinetics and One Love just released a song that is pretty hot: Happy Hour
Definately be on the lookout for their song they have really been workin hard. It is going to be amazing. Its going to drop in about a week and its called will you be remembered. They tweeted at me and personally guaranteed that it would be Fuego and from the snippet I heard its gonna be beyond that.

History Told in 24 Hours

It was the tale of two storied franchises. One with 17 World Championships, one with 16. Both known around the globe as the two greatest rivals, the two most accomplished teams to ever play in the National Basketball Association. Both with histories littered with great moments and some of the best players to ever play the game. Cousy and West, Russell and Chamberlain, Bird and Magic; they transcended the game. There's not much of a discussion as to who the top two franchises of all-time are in the NBA, but in the last 24 hours it became VERY apparent who was #1 and who was #2.
If you were watching the Celtics game last night, you just knew you were witnessing something special. This was history in the making. The Cs, battered and beaten, with their backs against the wall, down 2-0 to the anti-Christ Miami Heat, did what any Boston Celtics team would have done. They battled. They were tenacious, they were passionate, they were tough, but most importantly, they played with heart. Rondo wasn't just coming back onto the court with one arm for himself. He was coming back onto the court for likes of Robert Parish and Kevin McHale, he was coming back onto the court for the "Red Auerbach" name that stretches across the parquet floor, he was coming back onto the court for the 17 championship banners that hang in the rafters above. He came back out because he knows what those 17 banners mean and he knows just what it would mean to put number 18 up there.
If you were watching the Lakers game today, you also knew you were watching something special. Once again, you were witnessing history. The Lakers, down 3-0, had a chance to attempt to become the first team ever to dig themselves out of that hole. What did they do? They folded. They packed it in. No one has ever done it before, why should they be any different? Why should they even try? They played selfishly, they fought amongst themselves and let their frustrations get the best of them as they laid on numerous, absolutely unacceptable cheapshots in the game's extended garbage time. One of the greatest coaches in history, Phil Jackson, will have to walk away from the game knowing his team quit on him. Think the Celtics ever quit on Red Auerbach? Kobe Bryant, one of the great players of all time, made it very clear that he is certainly not even on the same planet as Michael Jordan. And Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum made a disgrace of the Laker name.
You'd NEVER see a Celtic do that. Never. They have too much pride. They know they'd be letting down those who came before them. Kevin Garnett cries, he cries like a little baby cries, when he talks about Bill Russell. He has that much respect for the man. You think Andrew Bynum cares what Magic Johnson thinks about him? Not a chance. He's out to get what's his and that's it. That's the difference between the Celtics and the Lakers. The Lakers are a bunch of individuals and the Celtics are a team. The Celtics are a family. The number of championships have become irrelevent. The Celtics are the greatest franchise in the history of basketball and the Lakers are a very distant second.

Witness

Witness, Lebron, Dirty-Wade, rest of the world, Witness. The Boston Celtics just defined why I'm so fucking proud to be part of this great city and this great region. They just summed up what being knocked down and taking someones best punch only to get up again is all about. Ya Rondo was unreal, he defied medical diagnosis, and he has larry bird sitting in his rocking chair in French Lick, Indiana with all green on chuckling to himself while he smokes a cigar. Like jerry mcguire was right, that is what inspires people, heart. But excluding rondo, its the 13 other guys on that team rallying around each other and their fallen teammate. It's guys like Jeff Greene stepping up when it mattered most, and the Big 3 playing more intense than ever before, as if they were 21 years old again. They all put their arms around each other and their fallen star and said to the demons of the NBA, not today, not in our house, not in our city.

I think Mark Jackson put it best when he said, "for the rest of Rondo's career you can question every aspect of his game, but you can never question his heart." Well that goes for all those guys from Jermaine O'neal to Paul Pierce, you can question their age, their skills, their anything else, but not their heart, not their desire, not their will. It's undeniable. This is us. That's what the Boston Celtics have always been about, that's what this city has always been about, and these are the undeniable facts.

Celts Guarantee Reggie?

Hell-Our spies have informed us that Celts exec Danny Ainge is so impressed with BC point guard Reggie Jackson that he’s already guaranteed the Celts will take him with the 25th pick in this year’s draft. Ainge personally was on hand for a number of Jackson’s game, and is a tremendous fan. The problem for the C’s is that Jackson’s stock is soaring and the thoughts from scouts everywhere is that he will be long gone by then meaning that Boston will have to trade up to select him.

“Danny’s already guaranteed him,” a source close to Jackson’s camp told TKB. “He saw a ton of games at BC this year.”

Now this is really interesting. I kind of had a feeling the Celtics liked Jackson, I mean when there are 5 people in Conte and 3 are me, 3, and danny ainge, that's when you know a team likes a guy. They need some guard help, avery bradley struggles and Ray Ray is getting older so Jackson would be a nice playmaking fit. I still stand by my assertion that Jackson should return for his Senior year. I think he would be even higher than 25th next year, baring some freak injury. But hey, looks like he's staying in the draft so I guess we gotta live with that. From a pure basketball standpoint, it would lay an interesting future for the team with Rondo, Jeff Green, and Jackson, all athletic guys who can run out of the building. All in all, I don't hate this, hopefully Danny can make it a reality. In all seriousness, this such a Danny Ainge move. Who guarantee's shit? Why put yourself in that position? Danny is just such an interesting fellow, and this has gotta be some kind of fine or something right? Whatever. Keep it going Danny let's kick the Heat's ass tonight.

Is it weird that a Knicks blog is reporting this? I didn't even know the Knicks had a blog, didn't know they had the interest for that sort of thing. I guess this is what they can do with all the free time on their hands.

Ps. I hear Reginold looked fly at the Athlete Banquet last night, guess he's got that NBA draft swagg going.

-thanks ponz for the tip.

Is John Lackey The Biggest Puss Throwing Pussy Of All Time?

So I'm watching the sox game right now and John Lackey, once again, is just getting straight lit up. How many times do I have to watch the same tape over again? Every time Lackey takes the hill it's just bomb after bomb. You can make the argument that the last game he pitched was solid, and maybe I just don't recognize his good moments, but it's not about that. It's about the fact that this dude just stands out there with absolutely no fire, zero-emotion. Guy is the definition of dud. I feel like if we were too look inside the mind of John Lackey we would just see Eeyore from winnie the poo. "Oh well, another ding dong for the angels, woe is me." I'd take my maniac Julian Taverez over this guy every day of the week and twice on sunday, and I'd take him for 1/8th the price. Would it kill Lackey to get angry once? Maybe then he'd throw a fastball above 82 mph.
