Who Should Start at Short for the Sox?

There's been a lot of talk early this spring-training about who is the best fit for the Red Sox at Shortstop this coming season. Tito has insisted over, and over that it's status quo for the Red Sox's version of Quarterback, as Marco Scutaro will retain his starting job, and utility man Jed Lowrie is bench bound for another season. For some reason there are a lot of Bostononians who have a problem with this move, and I'm not really sure why. Scutaro posted solid to above average numbers last year while playing 150 games through injuries to his neck, and throwing shoulder. Now, don't get me wrong, I love Jed Lowrie, and I, like a lot of people, thought he was going to be the next coming of Nomar when he broke into the league in '08, and he still could be, but I agree with Tito that the 26 year old is not ready to take over everyday duties. Scutaro, although a worse fielder than Lowrie, has a bigger and more consistent bat, not to mention bringing 10 years of MLB experiance to the table. The sox are going to have plenty of weapons offensively, so what they need is a guy like Scutaro who can sit in the 8 spot and work the pitch count, hit some fastballs for line drives, and get on base day in and day out. I also think having Lowrie on the bench benefits this team better than him working out the kinks in the everyday lineup. Jed is young, and needs some more refining, but he can play a multitude of positions and, being a switch hitter, can pinch hit in any situation. At any rate, this type of debate is a great one for the Sox to have because both these players are solid major leaguers and show the type of depth the Sox should have this season, thoughts?
