Unbelievable Scene Of The Day

So I featured a great up and coming artist T.Ryan a little while back on opening day. I also jokingly said that he read the blog because he put out another great song a day after I sang his praises. Well, the kid DID read the blog. I talked to him today and he is a great kid. I was so pumped when he gave me a shout out. This is a truly great day for the scenes. Make sure you listen to T.Ryan because he is only going to get bigger and bigger!

Jimmer Upset About Not Having To Attend Classes Anymore?

Yahoo - "Whereas other NBA prospects often drop out of school during spring semester in order to focus all their attention on preparing for the upcoming draft, Jimmer Fredette has stopped attending classes for a different reason.
BYU actually requested it.
College basketball's consensus national player of the year is doing all his schoolwork online this semester because his presence had become a distraction in class. Al Fredette told the Glens Falls Post-Star that starstruck students were approaching his son during lectures for autographs and photographs.
"It was getting too disruptive," Al Fredette said. "He can't go anywhere in Provo without being recognized."
That Jimmermania has disrupted Fredette's daily life should come as no surprise to those who followed his meteoric rise from all-conference guard to college basketball's breakout star. Each long-distance 3-pointer or 40-point scoring barrage increased the spotlight on the unassuming senior guard to the point that in the past three weeks alone he graced the cover of Sports Illustrated, appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and shot down lingering rumors that he's getting engaged.
It's probably more convenient for Fredette to take classes online since he hasn't spent much time at BYU in recent weeks. In the wake of BYU's NCAA tournament run ending at the hands of second-seeded Florida in the Sweet 16 last month, Fredette has traveled to Houston and Los Angeles to collect national player of the year awards.
One of the best measures of Fredette's newfound fame came at the terminal at Los Angeles International Airport as the BYU star was flying back to Salt Lake City on Saturday after collecting the Wooden Award. According to the Salt Lake City Tribune, dozens of fans — kids and adults alike — mobbed Fredette in hopes of getting a picture or an autograph.
That level of fame has forced Fredette to take precautions to avoid being recognized in Provo.
"I asked him what he does on campus when he goes out," Al told the Post-Star. "He said he wears a hoodie and tries not to make eye contact.""

So Jimmer is apparently upset with his newfound fame. Shut the fuck up and enjoy it while it lasts. Once you get into the NBA you're going to be a nobody. Do you think Adam Morrison or JJ Reddick have to deal with being too famous now that they're in NBA? My advice, milk this situation for everything its worth. Come on bro, you don't have to go to class anymore. Do you know what I would do to not have to go to any classes? I would do terrible, terrible things my friend. So suck it up and use your fame to get yourself laid. Just don't get caught by the Mormon police.

Rivalries Galore

The NBA and NHL playoffs are now upon us, and for Boston it's going to be a story of rivalries. Not going to lie to you, I'm a little hesistant to call either the Bruins or the Celtics "favorites" but both teams are definitely expecting to make it out of the first round. On top of the many story lines, interestingly enough the Celts and the B's will be playing their dreaded rivals, the Knicks and the Canadians, in these 3 vs 6 first round matchup. Well, actually, the Bruins will be playing their rivals and the Celtics will be playign a team that somehow thinks we are their rival but have never touched us. In this regard, I'm more excited for the Bruins-Canadians series. I know we've been harping on the Celtics and how poorly they've played without perk, blah, blah, blah...but if the world plans on continuing to function at a semi-normal level, the Celtics will beat the Knicks in 4-5 games. That being said, the Bruins series is intriguing simply because these teams really don't like each other. Like I'm talking just good ole' hate. We've got the Chara dirty hit story, and the fact that the Mounties in Montreal want to arrest him for it. We've got Mark Recchi talking shit, and Montreal players coming back with their own punk remarks. And, on top of all that's gone on this season, we sent these same Canadians home 2 years ago in the playoffs 4-nill; they probably remember it. I really hope we take it to them again, because it'd be a shame to here the Belle Center in Montreal echoing "nananana hey hey hey goodbye" one more time in their feminine french accents. I also like this series because, no matter what, the Bruins will always be the Red Sox underdog-like team, and the Canadians will always exist as the Yankee big bad french-Canadian sell-outs. No matter the seeding, the Bruins will be playing as the rag-tag group of rebels looking to sly an evil empire: just as the Bostonians have been since 1776.

Wake Up-Would You Rather

Had a shitty, shitty night last night. Seriously, one of the worst I've had in a while, and worst of all I'm still in a shitty mood. But I can't let The Scenes down so I blogged anyways. So sorry, but you're just going to have to deal with how negative and depressing this blog is. Would you rather be punched in the face or kicked in the groin? I mean a hard punch to the face i.e. cheek, eyes, nose, or jaw (you obviously don’t get to choose where) or a solid, wound up kick to the dick while you spread your legs and take it like a man. My last WYR was a win-win where either way your getting to see some hot girls in hot clothing. This time I decided to turn a complete 180 on your asses. This time, either way you vote, your fucked. So choose wisely.

I’m going to take the kick to the groin, and before everyone starts making fun of me saying its because I got a small dick or no dick or some shit like that just hear me out. I’ve heard of so many people needing to get surgery after getting rocked in the face, whether it be a broken cheek or a shattered nose. The bones in your face just break more easily, thats just a fact. And I know people have gotten surgery for getting hit in the balls too, but how many of those times have been sports accidents, or things of that nature, and not just a kick to the groin from an average dude. So I’ll take the swift kick to the dick and the hour or so of pain that follows thereafter over the fist to the face and possible surgery any day of the week. Show them what I mean Kriby Roy.

PS- Why does the animation part show his balls as being blue. Are they trying to say he has blue balls because he doesn't get laid? I'm not buying it Sports Science, not this time. Kirby Roy probably slays more poon than any man in this world.

Would You Rather?
Take a shot to the groin
Take a fist to the face

Well That Sucked

Just got back from Fenway, and well that blew pretty hard. Just got absolutely dominated from the get-go. Johnny Damon hitting a ding dong first pitch kind of set the tone, and Dice-k's solid 28.8 era was a highlight. Not going to lie though, seeing Wake pitch 5 innings was pretty neat, until hitters starting teeing off on his 66 mph junk. Bottomline is that this team is not cohesive yet, can't find the right people to make plays in key situations. It's early yes, and I'm confident they'll turn it around, but they need to get some swagger back and play a little more as a team out there, with a little more pride.

PS. Scutoro sucks, Lowrie is better. And Saltalamachia is as shitty as his name, dude's got a worse swing than julio lugo.

Mashup Monday

It’s a mashup Monday everyone. Today I am bringing you one of my favorite mashup artists, just a notch below the legendary milkman. 90’s finest is their name and they make some great tunes that flow together seamlessly. They definitely know how to make some chill music tracks that you can throw on in any situation. 90’s Finest is just trying to make it in this crazy, crazy world, so you should throw some love their way. They have three certified songs that will have you coming back to the well again and again. Two of the greats are September I’ll be gone and Do the Dance. These are great tracks that have a slow vibe that goes for days. My personal favorite is based around the legendary song Don’t Stop Believin. It is called Don’t Stop and it is just masterfully done. These guys are just the embodiment of the word fresh. Nothing like relaxing and putting on 90's. You actually can't go wrong with got to know, recluse, seek, and shoulda said no. These guys are on the up and up so you better jump on the train while you can. All of their stuff is good and the party has officially started. Enjoy Everyone, Happy Monday.

Do the Dance, September I’ll Be Gone, All other Songs HERE

P.S. Friday by Rebecca Black was known and ridiculed as being one of the worst songs of all time. Funny thing is, now people are using the song and it actually sounds good. The legendary Steven Colbert went on Jimmy Fallon’s show and just wiped the floor with it. Then Sex Ray Vision turns it into a club banger. Finally, Olu spits great verses over the ridiculed chorus.

Colbert Sex Ray Olu

P.P.S. All this controversy recently over who is the rightful owner of Airplanes and Nothing On You first, B.o.B or Lupe, had me thinking about the glory days of B.o.B. Bobby Ray had great potential and the owners of the label knew that he would kill it, and they were 100 percent right because B.o.B’s version is so much better than Lupe’s slow track. The Label looked back to when B.o.B was a Mixtape Master and was working on a clean slate. Check this great from the glory days Haterz Everywhere. The saying B.o.B lives by and what he would say to his doubters is HI Haters!
