BC Athlete of the Week
It's not everyday a Boston College athlete gets drafted and signs with a pro team, but this week one of our Lady Eagles did just that. Carolyn Swords of the womens basketball team was drafted 15th overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2011 WNBA draft. 15th overall?! That's a lottery pick in the NBA draft. Not really sure what a WNBA player makes? Got to be around $12 an hour, right? Either way, whether it's playing basketball or doing something else, the 6'7'' Carolyn Swords will be just fine. This girl is a saint. Literally, a saint. I see her around Conte every once in awhile and aside from having just the sweetest, kindest voice on the planet I swear she has done more community service than every other BC athlete on this campus. Just always involved and always helping out. Congrats Carolyn, best of luck! Great to see another Eagle in the pros.
